During our private reef tour, we will teach you everything you need to know, from safe diving techniques, to basic hunting skills, and the local fishing laws.  Or as experienced speros if you are looking for a personalized trip or targeting a specific trophy fish, our captain will find you the perfect spots for better chances finding the targeted species.

Assisted by our experienced spearfishing guides, out of Cabo San Lucas Marina, we will bring you to sereral fishing spots that will chose according to the season. We can adjust the time of departure to your convenience, and go to further more pristine uncharted locations. 

Spearfishing like other diving activities is recommended to be practiced with the buddy system. Regardless of this, you will always have an experienced guide with you in the water.

What can I expect to catch ?

Commonly called the "aquarium of the world ", the sea of Cortez and the surrounding Cabo San Lucas is well know as a world-class fishing spot. That will offer you a large range of fish to hunt for all levels.

Depending on the season and your spearfishing skills you can expect to catch : Grouper, Jack, Snapper, Siera, Trevally, Grunt, Spadefish ...  -> See the catch list & Calendar

During the tour a Fresh made ceviche could be prepared from your catch. We believe that eating the fish you catch is part of the experience so we encourage that you take it, to enjoy it with family and friends. 

Also, there are several restaurants along the Marina where you can take your fish and they will cook it for you. Or if you want take it with you, or get it packed to take back home, we can guide you to the cleaning station where they can fillet it and vacuum seal it.

All our tours are guided by experienced spearfishing guides with freedive training and years of spearfishing in the area.

If you never spearfished before, No problem, we have a great program for beginners where we will go through the basics of spearfishing, speargun safety, and freediving.

Our guides are native Spanish speakers and fluent English. Our tours are mainly guided in English but we can also have tours in French.

Yes, a fishing license is mandatory for all Recreational-sport fishing activity in Mexico for anyone over the age of 14 years old.

The fishing license is not included on our tour. See the official website to order online your fishing license ( around 12 USD )

Our tour includes everything you will need for the trip (except fishing License) . We recommend to bring towels, a light jacket or wind breaker depending on the season, hat, biodegradable sunscreen (much better for the reefs and marine life).

Our shop is located 10 steps from the water on the Marina of Cabo San Lucas Mexico, next to the lobby of the Hotel Tesoro and right behind the big red and white El Faro TEQUILA light house.

Changes and Cancellations policies

CHANGES:
We will accept changes in tours with no penalty charge if done 48 hours prior to your trip.

CANCELLATIONS:
Please note that any cancellations made :
. 72 hours or more prior to excursion date will receive a 100% Refund.
. 48 hours before the activity date will receive a 50% refund.
. Less than 48 hours prior to excursion date will not receive a refund.

NO SHOWS:
Please note that NO SHOWS will not receive any refund.

While we do our best to plan ahead in order to give you an unforgettable experience on your trip, we occasionally get unexpected bad weather, which could affect the quality of your tour.

Great Trip , great Experience My wife and I, booked a private reef trip. I'm from Michigan, so I booked everything, including fishing licenses, online and was happy with how smoothly that process went. Having no experience, we were all a little nervous about entering the ocean with spear guns. They taught us all we needed to know to stay safe and have a good time. Happily our guide was in the water with us the entire time giving tips.

Epic Reef Dive! These guys put us on the fish! We booked the private half day reef trip, both myself and my buddy put stud grouper in the boat, 1 leopard and 1 gulf grouper. Really great guys to dive with, helpful and passionate. Counting the days until we can do another trip back for a few days of diving, beautiful dive locations with big structure, and not many people in the water! Highly recommend Niko and his team, great vibe to these guys.

Awesome day out on the water for my first time Started off checking in at the office, Natalie & Jo were there to greet me. This was my first time Spearfishing and I am very very happy with what I caught. I shot 2 fish and got to take it back with me for dinner! Capi Ruy was very aware of us in the water, and helpful with all of the gear. Great adventure for the whole family! My father went for Spearfishing trip with my 11 year old brother and they both had a great time! Their guide Jonathan was amazing, explained everything very clearly and he both with the captain took good care of them. Equipment they were given was highest quality and they went to four different spots to look for biggest fish. It was first time for my brother spearfishing and he even shot a fish (super proud of himself). Natalie in the office is very friendly and professional as well. Highly recommend! 🙂

Was probably the best day of my life. It was my first time spearfishing and free diving in the deep ocean. Niko, very knowledgeable about the waters and how to spear fish. He taught me how to free dive, load a the gun and always spotted the fish. I caught two fish on my first experience and now I am addicted and would highly recommend to my friends & family. The captain always stayed close and was always aware of any needs and even made the most delicious fresh ceviche I ever had!

The most Badass experience in Baja !! Even though me and my friend had no experience free diving or spear fishing, Nico made us feel comfortable and explained everything very well. It was an adrenaline rush, and Nico and his crew will try their best to get you a fish!! Nico himself has a world record in spear fishing and it was amazing to watch him hunt. Highly recommend! The ceviche we made with our fish is way more rewarding than conventional fishing with a rod and was DELICIOUS!

First time spearfisher Had an amazing time on the boat and in the water !! The staff were amazing and well informed, even though it was my first time free diving or handling a spear gun I was still able to shoot a fish thanks to their excellent instructor. The boat captain prepared the best fresh ceviche I’ve ever had right on the boat for us with the fish that we caught. I initially was quite nervous about my performance whilst booking my private tour but I absolutely loved it, it was worth every dollar!
